Labotemp Asphalt Ignition Furnace LBC-102 is a high-precision ignition testing system designed for rapid and accurate determination of asphalt binder content in hot mix asphalt (HMA) samples. Built to support AASHTO T308 and ASTM D6307 testing methodologies, it provides a safer and more environmentally responsible alternative to solvent extraction methods. High-Capacity Asphalt Testing
The LBC-102 accommodates standard sample sizes of 1,200–1,800 g and supports samples up to 5,000 g, making it suitable for both routine quality control and large-scale asphalt mixture evaluation.

Precision Weight Monitoring
A built-in high-accuracy electronic balance continuously monitors sample mass throughout the ignition cycle and automatically calculates binder content with an accuracy of ±0.11%, ensuring repeatable and dependable test results.

Advanced Temperature Control
The combustion chamber operates between 200°C and 650°C with a standard testing temperature of 538°C, providing controlled and consistent combustion conditions for accurate asphalt content determination.

Emission Reduction & Safety
An integrated afterburner operating at 650–750°C helps reduce exhaust emissions, while the automatic door-locking system enhances operator safety during high-temperature testing. Automatic and manual operating modes provide additional testing flexibility.
