Labotemp Portable Bench Top Cryostat Microtome CRM-03 combines controlled low temperature refrigeration with precision tissue sectioning for frozen specimen preparation. Designed as a compact cryotome, it features a refrigerated cryo chamber, specimen head, knife or blade holder, and freezing shelves to support controlled sectioning conditions. The specimen head provides precise feeding through a high precision stepper motor system, with section thickness from 0.5 to 100 µm and a default setting of 6 µm.
The Portable Cryostat Microtome CRM-03 features a 5 inch color LCD touch screen, specimen head position memory, 360° specimen positioning, three freezing stations, and a specimen head temperature range of −5 to −50°C. Its compact bench top design, 70 kg weight, UV disinfection function, integrated lighting, and adjustable knife or blade holder make it suitable for frozen section preparation in pathology, histology, biomedical research, and other laboratory applications where thin frozen tissue sections are required. Cryostat microtomes are used to section frozen tissue at low temperatures for microscopic examination and frozen section histology.
