Labotemp Portable Cryogenic Freezer CRF-203 features a compact Cryo Freezer for laboratory and research applications. It has a 2 L storage capacity, adjustable temperature range from 18°C to -120°C, and ±1°C temperature stability for dependable sample preservation. It provides reliable ultra-low temperature storage for biological specimens, DNA and RNA samples, cell cultures, enzymes, specialty reagents, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature-sensitive laboratory materials. The direct cooling system ensures rapid pull-down and uniform temperature distribution, while the high-precision PT100 temperature sensor continuously monitors chamber conditions for accurate control. Supporting both 100–240 V AC and 12–24 V DC power supplies, the CRF-203 offers flexible operation in research laboratories, biotechnology facilities, pharmaceutical environments, mobile testing units, and cold-chain transportation.

Advanced Stirling Cooling Technology

The CRF-203 utilizes advanced free-piston Stirling cooling technology, where a sealed piston repeatedly compresses and expands helium gas inside the cooling engine to create a continuous refrigeration cycle. As the helium gas expands, it absorbs heat from the storage chamber, and as it compresses, the heat is released outside the system, producing efficient cryogenic cooling without conventional compressor-based refrigeration. With fewer moving parts, this technology delivers lower vibration, quieter operation, reduced maintenance, and outstanding temperature stability for sensitive laboratory samples. Capable of reaching temperatures as low as -120°C, the system provides rapid pull-down performance while consuming only 70 W during steady-state operation at 25°C ambient temperature.
